We really enjoyed our meal in this traditional trattoria. The hand made fresh pasta was excellent and so were the traditional local products. But what amazed us the most was the hospitality of the owners. We felt what real Calabrian hospitality is all about!

In the small, serene, charming village of Stilo we tried the restaurant Gli ancient flavors. It can be easily reached on foot, a few steps, from the main square of the town, or by car and can be easily parked on the street since the village is not inundated with tourism (which it deserves). The village is little known and therefore can still be visited calmly and consequently even the restaurants are not for tourists but above all for the locals doing the real and typical cuisine of the place. In the kitchen there is a young cook who promises well given the excellent results of at least the dishes we tasted. We had two very tasty and abundant first courses as in all of Sicily. We struggled to finish them but it was exactly what we were looking for and we found it. Recommended and definitely worth trying also because they have honest and very reasonable prices and that certainly doesn't hurt.
